Forgot

Last night I decided to grab a bite to eat on the way to meeting Red downtown. I figured if I ate beforehand, I wouldn't be

I literally forgot I was gluten free until I had the food in my hand.

Oh well, I'd paid for it. I ate it.

Every decision matters: I have not ruined the gluten free experiment, I simply need to go back to eating gluten free. Fresh start. Not getting sidetracked today.

Side note: I feel very thirsty and puffy today. Coincidence?

Edit: Orrrrr it's the new birth control pill. Scheisse.

DAY ONE

Scale said 169 to me this morning and I had some choice words in reply.

Gluten foods are in the trash. Today is day one of the gluten free trial.

Glutiny

I had a draft post where I was detailing the events of my 8 day plan, but I crashed on day 3 because I was waiting on labs to see if I had an autoimmune issue. Labs have not shown anything abnormal, which is good except my body isn't working right and I don't know why. So I have eaten ALL THE THINGS and, generally speaking, not stopped eating until I'm in pain.

I have examined the contents of my kitchen, and have decided that despite it being a new week, it would be more prudent to implement my gluten-free trial after I've emptied it out a bit more. I don't want to waste vast quantities of food, and I could use the space for the gluten-free foods.

So... a few more days of glutiny.*

*Greed and excessive consumption of gluten-containing foods.

Then a shift toward gluten-free eating, and I think a goal of being completely gluten-free by next Sunday.
