Just Keep Swimming: Feb 17, 18

It was too cold for taking socks off to try on swimming suits in the store! I'm glad I had my random "I need to start going to the gym NOW" hair after spring merchandise started coming out, because I'm guessing I was 150+ the last time I bought a suit that fit.

The experience was highly unpleasant, but it's over - for now, at least. I have a suit to actually go swim in that fits reasonably well and doesn't make me want to hang myself, and a bikini that also currently fits (I have a terrible habit of buying them too small) for progress photos.

Tuesday and Wednesday I took hot baths and stretched. No actual working out yet (I was in dire need of the stretching though, I am so stiff and sore everywhere) - BUT I finally got my hind end over to the YMCA (the most promising nearby fitness center), toured the facility, and got a 3-visit past to test the waters, literally and figuratively.

My #1 gym-goal right now is swimming. Swim and stretch. Something to do that I know will make me feel better, that I know I'll have rapid progress with a few weeks training, something to do indoors where it is not currently 0 degrees F (roughly -18 C).

Tomorrow may be a lift-at-home day because of the heinous weather; we'll see.

  1. looking radically sexy in that swimsuit (yes, i just did imagine a Chemistry radical by the way. you know like the highly reactive species of alkanes? yes? no?)

fuck man. -18 Celsius?! what the fuck? how are you even alive? after 18 C, i start to have brain damage due to hypothermia. how do you even....

take care, dear. either way - it's been a while so make sure you don't overdo it!

today is a lift day for me. if i can get around to it! i MUST do it today because the 2nd lift day is around Saturday.

trying to love lifting but...can i just cardio for sexy lean muscles? no?

  2. I wish I dared go swimming, but I don't look as good as you in a swimsuit, I'm afraid (I own one, shaped like a empire dress).
