Through 22nd

I finally got moving! On Friday, I went for a 30 minute puppy walk through the snow. Today another 30 minutes (very casual speed). Yesterday I lifted weights.

Not much, just enough to be a little tender and sore today, which feels nice for a change. It is a different kind of pain than that from lying around and stiffening up.

I did some squats with an unloaded bar (about 20 lb; I forget its exact weight), lat pulldowns at 20 and 40 lb with a few different grip widths, as well as bench press, overhead press, and calf raises with the unloaded bar.

It's not much, but I DID IT! I'm doing it! I'm moving again.

I wanted to avoid the weekend crowd at the YMCA plus I realized I don't have swim goggles, so I hope to make my swimming debut there on Tuesday.

  1. You know what they say, you're lapping everyone in the sofa. I took my first pole walk in months today and it might not be much, but it's more than I did yesterday.
