Howww am I still peeing out ketones when I pretty much had an 80 g carb supper last night?! No idea.
Waist is creeping under the 29" mark.
More apartment hunting with Charlie today, so a meal out may derail me a little. Friendship > food, right? Right. Right. Remind me later.
Apartment hunting rescheduled due to Charlie needing to help his gram move, so I have been independently misbehaving:
Half bun quarter pounder with cheese 24 g
Four piece chicken strips with ranch & honey mustard (OUCH more carbs in the chicken breading than I realized) 34 g (58 g)
Half bun filet o fish 25 g (83 g)
BUT I did some weighted squats and rows today (~60 lb back squats, ~22 lb single arm rows) - enough that I should be pleasantly sore tomorrow. At least I've burned up some of those carbs and given my body a cue on where to put all the protein!
Pistachios and cocoa almonds 9 (92 g)

yup. your body is a ketone producing machine.
ReplyDeletesomeone told me once that not everyone can smell ketones on someone's breath. i thought that was the fun fact of the day.
maybe since you're doing LC, you're going to maintain muscle mass due to your higher protein intake. higher protein intake = muscle mass maintained. i think that's one of the reason why i'm really jealous of anyone doing LC and managing to stick to it.
you are better than i at that.
also, friendship > food. yes. all the time. EAT ANYTHING YOU WANT IT'S OKAY. it's just one day. it might throw you out of ketosis but you can get back to that in no time. besides, if you're really keto adapted, even one carbohydrate rich cheat meal won't throw you out of keto or so i've heard. ;)
